Small World Solutions delivers highly interactive workshops on Diversity & Cultural Competency, allowing attendees to understand the many ways people are different from one another. Promoting a culture of prevention, regarding discrimination, is an essential ingredient of competency. We can have differences within our own families, social groups, communities, cities, and so on, and yet still find common ground to address challenges and create optimal team functioning. The Cultural Competency portion of the workshop identifies methods in dealing with those differences. By recognizing, understanding, and accepting that individuals may see things differently, we can all grow in our competency abilities. This is a lifelong process.
